Assistant Specialist, Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center
Krystle J. Allen is Assistant Specialist, Community and Economic Development and FCS- Program Leader with the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center (SUAREC). She earned her doctorate in Agricultural and Extension Education and Evaluation (AEEE) at Louisiana State University. In her role, she provides educational resources, programs and assistance to the citizens of Louisiana, coordinates and supports extension programs and activities, participates in program planning committees, collaborates with outside agencies to build strong partnerships, grant-writing, etc. Working in Cooperative Extension for almost 10 years, Krystle finds joy in helping underserved communities and building new collaborations / partnerships. Krystle obtained her Master’s degrees in Public Administration (2011) and Leadership Development (2013) from Louisiana State University (LSU).
