Kelly Raney
Business Development Manager, Louisiana Economic Development
Kelly A. Raney is a Business Development Manager with Louisiana Economic Development (LED) serving over LED’s Business Incentives Services division. Having joined LED in 2020, prior to the onset of the COVID pandemic, Raney brings with her 17 years of experience in working with businesses from a financial planning perspective. At LED, Raney manages business statutory and discretionary tax incentive programs, as well as the LED SSBCI Programs. Having previously worked as a Wealth Advisor in Private Wealth Management serving the Greater Baton Rouge and Acadiana markets, Raney has experience in advising, guiding and educating business owners respective to their needs ranging from understanding early cash flow cycles in their business operations to helping to create exit strategies and formalize business succession plans. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration also from LSU. In addition, she has a CWS (Certified Wealth Strategist) designation, holds a Louisiana Life & Health Insurance license, Long Term Care Insurance Certification and formerly maintained a FINRA Series 6 Securities license. Raney enjoys volunteering in her community and has served on several boards and committees through her volunteer work. She has experience working with the Rotary Club in Prairieville, YMCA of North Ascension, Cabinet Member for Capital Area United Way (CAUW), CAUW Campaign Company Coordinator, St. Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army, Junior Achievement Finance Park, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, American Cancer Society Relay for Life and last, Raney served as the Auction Chair for the Karnival Krewe de Louisianne benefiting Mary Bird Perkins.
